Care & Instructions
2. Lifting & Draining: Use the perforated head to lift cooked food from hot oil, boiling water, or broth. Hold the skimmer briefly above the pot to allow excess liquid to drain.
3. Proper Use: Suitable for fried foods, dumplings, vegetables, and other ingredients large enough to remain on the perforated head. Avoid overloading the skimmer or using it to support unusually heavy items.
4. Heat Safety: Stainless steel conducts heat, and the handle may become hot during prolonged cooking. Do not leave the skimmer resting inside a heated pot or fryer. Use heat-resistant protection when necessary.
5. Cleaning & Storage: Dishwasher safe. For hand washing, use mild dish soap and a soft sponge. Rinse food residue from the drainage holes, dry thoroughly, and hang or store in a clean, dry location.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is this skimmer spoon made from real 304 stainless steel, and is it sturdy?
Yes. The IMEEA skimmer spoon is made from SUS304 stainless steel with a brushed finish. It weighs approximately 8.82 oz / 250 g and features a wide perforated head and a hollow stainless steel handle. Its sturdy construction makes it suitable for everyday frying, scooping, and draining.
Q: What types of cooking is this large skimmer spoon best suited for?
The 5.12-inch / 13 cm wide head is especially useful for lifting fried foods, tempura, dumplings, vegetables, and other cooked ingredients. It works well with woks, frying pans, and wide-mouth pots. For narrow cookware, we recommend checking the opening diameter before purchasing.
Q: Does the perforated head help drain excess oil and water?
Yes. The perforated stainless steel head allows excess oil or water to drain when lifting food. Its broad surface is practical for scooping multiple pieces at once. Very small food particles may pass through the openings.
Q: Will the stainless steel handle get hot during frying?
The hollow stainless steel handle provides a comfortable grip, but it is not heatproof. It may become hot during prolonged cooking or exposure to high temperatures. Avoid leaving the skimmer resting in hot cookware, and use heat-resistant protection when necessary.

Perfect size for my 20qt stock pot. Works great for when I do sea food boils. Great quality slotted spoon. Would definitely recommend to a friend.
This is what all your kitchen utensils should aspire to be: sturdy, well made, and multi-functional. It's larger than you expect. The slots on the spoon portion are small enough to strain pasta with, but the spoon itself is large enough to handle fritters from the fryer. It will hold up to boiling water or oil, so fishing out poached eggs or french fries is easy. The one drawback to this item is that it won't easily fit in some drawers, but it's so nice I don't care. There is a hole in the handle for hanging. I highly recommend this.
...Scoop! Very sturdy. Just what we needed to get those doughnuts out.
