I absolutely love these spoons! I am cooking for one, out of a little yellow cookbook, so most of my mixing and cooking is done in small bowls or small pans. These 8 inch spoons are the perfect size. I have an older eight inch Richcraft roux spoon that I was hoping that these would compare to, and they do! The spoons are sturdy and I have had no problems or complaints about sharp edges. The added bonus is that these spoons have the roux or flat edge so they don't leave anything unmixed in the bottom of a bowl, or burnt in the bottom of a pan. I will never go back to regular shaped mixing spoons. I want a whole handful of these spoons in my spoon crock! I've added a photo showing my Richcraft spoon and the new spoon. The other new one is in the dishwasher.

I have purchased many of these sets to hand out to family members because my mother received a used spoon like the solid one here 65 years ago and it's still being used regularly--it's a favorite cooking spoon. I don't know whether these spoons will last as long and may update this in the future, but to find them offered as a set and to be able to purchase them for this price has been a long search fulfilled.

This set was used for the first time yesterday for a luncheon. Functionally, they are great for serving food such as beetroot leaving the liquid behind using the spoon with holes. Aesthetically, they look good too. I recommend if anyone is considering purchasing.
I had to return these. The are for right handed people. I didn't notice the slant until I saw them in person.
Saw these in action at a friend's house and knew I had to have them! Sturdy stainless steel, comes as a set of two, one with perforations for straining and best of all, the end of the spoon is flat!! It works great trying to get food out of a flat dish, i.e. lasagna in 9x13" pan. It serves like a spatula, dips like a big serving spoon and hold a lot of food. Price point is excellent, shipping was fast as usual. Great Purchase!!!
Perfect for making gravy
They are thinner and shorter than I expected. The edges and sides are kinda sharp too. They do the job, I was just looking for a longer handle to use with my cajun pot.
I inherited one of these and needed another one. I was so excited to find one on Amazon and it's as good as the 40 yr old original.
I haven't used them yet, but they seem heavy and I like the style.

These are nice sturdy stainless steel, and the flat end is just what I was looking for so when you serve your vegetables, you don't have to fish them out of the dish.
I mostly like them, but i wish they were a bit flatter for what I was trying to replace. Other than that, they are smooth enough from the edges to use on non-stick pans (with care, of course) and they look nice for serving too.
I was watching a Cajun cooking show, and the guy was talking about scraping spoons. They looked really handy, so I went looking. I was hoping these were those, but I'm thinking not.They seem sturdy, and they're cut nicely. You're not likely to bend either of them any time soon. But, while the business ends are cut square, they're not flat. They're still dished. Think of a scoop shovel, but for cooking. (for family, not a company of Marines, for whom actual scoop shovels are required). I haven't gotten a chance to use them yet, but I expect my search for a scraping spoon is not over.One downside to the experience. I ordered these along with several other items. Everything came in a big box, with these spoons just tossed in loose. They're sturdy enough that they came out without damage, and didn't damage anything else while they were bouncing around, but it seems like not a terribly good method of shipping.

These are smaller than they appeared in the advertisement, but the flat edge is a good idea. I got them for serving spoons for our church buffet line. They should work well for quite a few dishes. I ordered other ones for larger needs.
